Why has LED THERAPY been increasing?

Why has LED THERAPY been increasing?

One of the most common reasons is because today we are more aware of self-care, of wanting to look better, of taking better care of our skin than in the past.

And without a doubt the second reason is because today we have more knowledge of some beauty equipment, skin care and how some machines work on the skin. One of them is LED Therapy, which provides immense benefits to our skin, in addition to the possibility of being able to use it from home.

Making a brief summary of how LED THERAPY works:

The LED light emitted by the equipment manages to activate the photoreceptors, producing a series of biological responses to modify some of their cellular structures, which leads to self-repair, collagen and elastin production, among others.

To make it more detailed, see what the benefits of blue and red light are:

Blue light is cold and helps reduce injuries and reduce inflammation. It penetrates the skin and produces an oxygen radical that destroys acne-causing bacteria. When the light is absorbed by the bacteria, it is destroyed, reducing inflammation and redness.

Red light emits a long wavelength to penetrate deep into the skin. This light is indicated in skin rejuvenation therapies, allowing to erase the annoying expression lines of the face. Likewise, it activates the formation of collagen and elastin, substantially reducing wrinkles.

Yellow light

It has a toning power, being suitable for controlling skin hyperpigmentation, helping to even out the tone of the affected areas.

Blue light

Blue light has a bactericidal effect which is ideal for the treatment of acne and its inflammatory problems. In the same way, blue light is cold and helps mitigate injuries and reduce inflammation, penetrating the skin and producing a large amount of oxygen that destroys acne-causing bacteria.

Green light

Its combination with red light is excellent for rejuvenation treatments. It is designed for various skin treatments, for example, hair problems, facial problems, redness, inflammation, redness due to rosacea, among others.

Likewise, different types of light can be combined in the same session to obtain better results. Phototherapy acts on the skin to accelerate its healing in an efficient way, it can even be combined with other aesthetic treatments, in my case, I like to apply it to all my patients after finishing any aesthetic treatment.

Nowadays I have an LED mask for personal use at home, I use it weekly after applying my serum at the time of going to sleep for a period of 20 minutes.
